New Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kenny Su is officially ready to start his first day of work.
Guam Attorney General Doug Moylan announced the Governor signed the $350,000 employee contract today.
The commission on post mortem examinations approved the three year contract on Sept. 18 to quickly bring the new doctor on board.
The former CME Dr. Jeffrey Nine stepped down in April due to family reasons.
He was getting paid $200,000.
Dr. Su’s contract may increase to $400,000 per year with appropriation from the legislature.
He most recently served as the Chief Medical Examiner in Collin County, Texas and was the forensic pathologist and neuropathologist in Sacramento, California.
