A police death investigation is underway after human remains were found on a trail way along Hawaii Drive, also known as FAA Road, located just off Route 3 in Dededo early Friday.
The Guam Police Department confirms officers with the Dededo Precinct Command got the call just before 6 am.
Responding officers spoke with three individuals who had been hunting in the area and found the remains, according to GPD spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella.
“After verification, a body was found near an illegal dump site,” Savella said in a news release. “At this time it is too early to determine any specific context or motive or the cause of death. Detectives are working diligently to gather more information.”
Authorities ask anyone with information to contact police immediately.
