A drug dealer admits to the charges filed against him in federal court.

Reynaldo Zialcita took a prosecutors' plea deal admitting to charges of  possession of methamphetamine hydrochloride with intent to distribute and for being a drug user in possession of a firearm.

Court documents state Zialcita was pulled over by Guam police last November in Dededo.

During a search, officers found a pistol with ammunition and a glass jar with about half a pound of meth.

Zialcita admitted to officers that he started selling the drugs after losing his job during the COVID pandemic.

He added he bought the gun from a man at a game room so that he was protected whenever he made drug sales.

He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and will be sentenced in the District Court of Guam.
