A new commuter airline, Micronesian Air Connection Services, is hoping to launch in December pending the issuance of a qualifying certificate.

A public meeting was recently held in Saipan for the QC application. The company, owned by longtime CNMI business owners John and Paula Stewart, announced its potential airfare if their certificate is approved.

A full fare from Saipan to Tinian could cost $50. A ticket from Saipan to Rota could cost $100. They also plan to offer rates for CNMI residents, veterans, active military, and seniors.

They said routes to Guam could be coming soon if facilities are secured.
