Classes for Guam Department of Education students, Catholic school students, and DoDEA have been canceled for Wednesday in preparation for Tropical Storm Man-Yi.  GovGuam officials announced three campuses have been designated as emergency shelters for those in need of a safe place to stay.

The public schools that are scheduled to open at 7pm tonight as storm shelters ar as follows:

- Maria Ulloa Elementary in Dededo for northern Guamanians

- George Washington High School in Mangilao residents

- Talo'fo'fo' Elementary School for those in the south

Shelterees are encouraged to bring essential items such as a 7-day supply of food and water, bedding, personal hygiene products, medication, and important documents including identification and medical records. Officials add it is imperative for the safety of all residents to adhere to the evacuation orders and seek shelter promptly, as the school is part of a network of facilities prepared to provide support during such critical times.
