The man charged in connection to a deadly robbery of tourist in Tumon is set for trial in January.
But he’s trying to secure a new attorney after his defense lawyer withdrew from the case.
Defendant Stefen Camacho appeared before Judge John Terlaje in superior court this week.
He told the court he is working with the Public Defender’s Office to help him prepare for his day in court.
He was indicted on charges of complicity to commit aggravated murder and robbery.
Camacho denies his role in the deadly armed robbery that claimed the life of a Korean tourist.
As KUAM News reported, Camacho and Keoki Santos allegedly planned to rob tourists after the pair lost money gambling.
Santos, who authorities believe was the shooter, died by suicide.
Camacho’s trial is scheduled to begin on January 15th.
