Yona mayoral candidate Debbie Lujan filed a complaint against her opponent Brian Terlaje claiming he is not from the village.

Mayor-Elect Terlaje won the race over Lujan by 333 votes.

Lujan’s complaint to the Guam Election Commission contends he was living in Chalan Pago.

The requirement is that the mayoral candidate have at least one year residency in the village.

GEC staff discovered that to be the case for Terlaje, adding he’s been a registered voter of Yona since 2000.

Commissioners voted to dismiss Lujan’s complaint without any objections.
