Man caught illegally fishing in Tumon Marine Preserve

A man is taken into custody after being accused of illegally fishing in the Tumon Bay Marine Preserve.

Eighteen-year-old Joyful Richard is charged with fishing within Marine Preserve.

Court documents state Department of Agriculture Conservation Officers noticed lights in the water Wednesday night.

Two suspects walked onto shore but immediately fled to a nearby jungle area.

Officers were able to take one suspect into custody and found fishing gear along with four lobsters and 53 assorted fish.

No word if authorities have identified the second suspect.
