A man on trial for allegedly selling meth in prison was denied his request for acquittal.

This comes after parties rested their case in the District Court of Guam.

Richard Espedion now waits for a federal jury to decide his fate.

As reported, more than half a pound of meth inside clear straws and baggies, glass pipes, bongs, vapes, cellphones, SIM cards, and cigarettes were found hidden inside his cell at the Department of Corrections prison.

Co-defendant John Boy Duenas has since taken the prosecutor's plea deal.

Espedion is facing charges of possession of contraband in prison and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Prison records show Espedion was being held in DEPCOR for dealing drugs.
