CNMI, military leaders discuss ongoing projects on Saipan

Military officials met recently with leaders in Saipan.

The group shared information on various Department of Defense projects across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

CNMI Governor Arnold Palacios welcomed Commander of Joint Task Force-Micronesia Rear Admiral Greg Huffman, Joint Region Marianas Commander Rear Admiral Brent Devore and other military and NMI leaders. 

Palacio called the meeting important and said it was a very robust and productive discussion.

He said, “Both parties have their interests and we come together to ensure that both parties meet their goals effectively and build a foundation for long-term growth and partnership.”

Additionally, NAVFAC Marianas noted construction is around 50% complete on the Tinian Divert Airfield project.
