Defense requests copy of 911 calls in Dededo murder case

Trial is expected to start in about a year for the pair accused in the killing of Ryan Chaco.

Co-defendant Eithen Mendiola and Frank Reyes Jr. appeared before Judge John Terlaje in Superior Court today. 

Defense requested for the 911 calls and video that prosecutors captured reenacting the alleged murder. 

As we reported, Mendiola allegedly told police the victim made unwanted sexual advances toward him before he repeatedly stabbed Chaco, claiming it was self defense. 

Reyes allegedly tried to burn the evidence setting Chaco's Dededo home on fire.
