Thirty-seven officers with the Guam Police Department are promoted to the rank of Officer II.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero said during the community how the promotion is just one way the Government of Guam is working to keep Guam safe.

“One of our priorities as leaders is to find ways to safe guard our community. One of our greatest responsibilities is the safety of our community. We want to make sure that when our children go to school that they safely go to school. We want to make sure that when we go to the grocery store that we feel safe when we go. When we go to church we feel safe. A good government does that exactly, providing the safety and security of their island. We are about making sure we provide you with safety for our island. We want to make sure the island is peaceful, especially in times of world conflict. We do that by standing up a strong Guam Police Department,” said Leon Guerrero.

Congratulations to the new GPD Officer II’s.
