Lago Restaurant reopens at the Leo Palace in time for the holidays
The heart of Leo Palace Resort Guam’s culinary experience is finally reopening this week after the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to close its doors in 2021. Lago Restaurant reopened on Thanksgiving Day, and encourages guests to join them for a meal to remember.
Leo Palace general manager Schack Von Rumohr shared his thoughts on the grand reopening and the array of cuisines to be featured. He told KUAM News, "It's actually very exciting! I'm new here to the island, and there were many stories about [locals' memories here]. I'm very happy to open as the general manager and bring this place back to life. My goal is to bring everything on this property back to life and this is the first step. Its what the local community wants and we want to do that for them."
"It's fusion," he said of the choices. 'We have from Asian to American to local food, we have fried rice, desserts, carving stations meats. We have something for everybody. So when you come here, trust me, you can find something for everybody. That' what the goal is: there's something for everybody here. It's not only for one person."
Lago Restaurant also welcomes their new executive chef, Reynaldo Dasalla! Taking pride in being the setting for so many people’s cherished memories, the lago restaurant welcomes the community back to this beloved establishment.
Lago is open Monday to Sunday from 7am to 9pm. Guests can make reservations in-person at Lago Restaurant or by calling the front desk at the Leo Palace Resort.
