Jamaican Grill opened its doors back in December 1994, an idea brought to fruition by Frank Kenney and Tim Murphy.
Their concept, and passion brought forth the idea of some serious barbecue, serious food, for serious food lovers. Through Jamaican Grill they were able to bring to the masses fusion cuisine that captured the tastes of Jamaican-style jerk barbecue with local chamorro flavors.
Like the pairing of Kenny and Murphy, it worked.
The very first location? In the heart of Hagatna within the Chamorro Village. An ideal place that was accessible to not just the island community, but the visiting tourists as well.
This location serves as the foundation for their business and holds a special place in their hearts.
Also holding a place in their hearts is the incredible support of loyal customers, as Kenny puts it, Jamaican Grill can only be as successful as the community that supports it.
Thirty years later, the restaurant continues to dish up and delight island residents and tourists with four locations in Dededo, Chamorro Village, Tumon, and Mangilao.
Expect warm and friendly staff to greet you with smiles. So stop on by, see why they remain so popular and continue to be one of Guam's favorite places to enjoy good food.
