Guam Autospot crash defendant wants out of prison
The man accused of drunk driving and plowing into Guam Autospot back in August wants to get out of prison.
Defendant Bintenson Simina appeared before Magistrate Judge Jonathan Quan today.
Defense asked the court for Simina to be released to third party custodians.
The hearing will continue Thursday to allow his family members to attend.
Simina is facing charges of vehicular negligence and drunk driving.
He was employed with Triple J and was using a company car without permission when the crash occurred.
The crash led to extensive damage at Guam Autospot and a couple getting seriously hurt.
The couple has since filed a civil lawsuit against Simina and both car companies.
