With the weather cooperating, over 1,300 came out on Sunday to celebrate the 30th birthday of Jamaican Grill. 

At the restaurant's first location at the Chamorro Village,  island residents  lined up at 10 a.m. to be a recipient of one of the 1,030 food plates they were giving out for free  according to Co-Founder Frank Kenney, the family- friendly event was a way of saying thank you to the community for supporting the restaurant all these years.

Those in attendance were also able to enjoy shaved ice, birthday cake, carabao rides, live entertainment and giveaways.

To start off the celebration, a resolution was presented by Senator Chris Barnett recognized Jamaican Grill on their anniversary; and commending them for their contributions to the community of Guam.
