In the nation's capital, the House of Representatives passed the conferenced version of the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act.

This is the version the house and the senate negotiated after both chambers passed their respective NDAA versions.

Ahead of the vote, Delegate James Moylan urged his colleagues to support it saying it would bring $4 billion of economic activity to Guam.

"There's $600 million for Guam missile defense, protecting my constituents from direct People's Republic of China and North Korean threats. Additionally, it includes $100 million for Marine Corps Drive, our public roadway on Guam for upgrades, for easier access for our civilians and our military. Also, it recognizes Guam's history which directs DOD to provide a report regarding the use of Agent Orange on Guam," he said.

While Delegate Moylan's original amendment - passed in the house version of the NDAA earlier this year - authorized $140 million for access roads, the negotiated version reduced the amount to $100 million.
