Home Depot robber gets twelve and a half years
A man accused of robbing the Home Depot gets 12 and a half years in the Department of Corrections prison.
Defendant Edward San Agustin is sentenced before Judge Vernon Perez in Superior Court today.
San Agustin is convicted of robbery and for committing a felony while on felony release.
He was already serving three years in a separate criminal case.
It was in July of last year when San Agustin was caught on the store's video surveillance walking out with a cart filled with the stolen items.
He told investigators he was only stopped outside the store by employees before being told, “to go ahead and go.”
Investigators said an employee told police San Agustin was armed with a gun but he was acquitted of the deadly weapon possession charge.
