Man denies shooting his stepbrother
Defendant Toshie Salvadore denies that he had anything to do with the shooting death of his stepbrother.
Salvadore pleaded not guilty to murder and arson before Magistrate Judge Jonathan Quan in Superior Court today.
He asserted his speedy trial rights.
Court documents state Salvadore was drinking beer and had smoked meth with his stepbrother, Mike Fel.
Prosecutors learned Salvadore was showing off a gun before it went off and hit Fel in the chest.
Police said Salvadore allegedly set the getaway car on fire after leaving Fel at the hospital, where he later died.
