The U.S. Congress has passed a resolution securing vital funding for Guam's recovery and development projects.

The resolution ensures the federal government remains open for three more months while allocating $100 billion in disaster relief.

For Guam, this includes critical investments such as:

  • Over $500 million in Community Development Block Grant funds to assist families with disaster-related home repairs.
  • $1.38 million from the Federal Highway Administration for road and bridge repairs.
  • $1.8 billion for military facility restoration due to Typhoon Mawar damages.
  • $401.5 million to repair the NASA Guam Remote Station.
  • Funding for Coast Guard repairs and increased access to childcare, drawn from national disaster relief allocations.

Delegate James Moylan expressed gratitude for prioritizing Guam's needs, highlighting the potential for job creation, economic growth, and bolstering national security through these investments.

Moylan also emphasized his office’s commitment to working with federal agencies and FEMA to ensure the smooth distribution of funds and progress on delayed projects.
