As the nation prepares for the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Republican Party of Guam Chairman Shawn Gumataotao has joined the Pacific Transition 47 Committee.

This newly-formed group, including Guam Delegate James C. Moylan and Speaker-designate Frank Blas Jr., will collaborate with the three Republican Territorial Members of Congress and senior Pacific leaders to provide recommendations on federal policies and key appointments to the Trump-Vance Administration.

Chairman Gumataotao emphasized this historic alignment of Pacific leadership, marking the first time all three Pacific members of Congress are Republican.

Together, they aim to ensure Pacific representation in non-career federal government roles that impact territories like Guam, the CNMI, and American Samoa.

Donald J. Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on Jan. 20, 2025.
