A woman who allegedly admitted to forging more than $63,000 in checks from her employer is placed under arrest on Christmas Eve.

Forty-one-year-old Jacqueline Gutierrez is charged with forgery.  

Court documents state the victim discovered 37 checks had been created and signed without their permission.

Gutierrez allegedly admitted to the crime telling police she had been struggling financially.

Documents state she also expressed remorse and was willing to pay it back, if possible.

She was released on a $50,000 bond.
