Hagat police precinct to be renamed in honor of late Pedo Terlaje
On Friday afternoon in a private ceremony, flanked by family and loved ones of the late former Senator Jose 'Pedo' Terlaje, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero signed Bill 279 into law. The bill, introduced by Sen. Chris Barnett will rename the Hagat Precinct to the Jose T. “Pedo” Terlaje Police Station.
Terlaje,was a lifelong servant to the people of Guam - a veteran, a police officer, civil defense administrator, mayor and senator, the late Terlaje was a leader who held close and exemplified the HITA legacy of honesty, integrity, trust, and accountability.
A renaming ceremony for the precinct will be held at the end of January.
