Stoney's Mini-Golf offers fun 9-hole course for players of any level
Historically, Guam's had at least three mini-golf courses – the first over at what's now Camp Blaz, one at the waterpark at PIC, and the former Island Mini-Golf Adventure next to St. John's. They're great for anyone, a good time outside, and endlessly fun! And now, the bogeys are back, with a new course for you to work on your putt-putt game.
Course manager Danyelle Mortera shared with KUAM Sports, "It's been a long time since the people of Guam have had a putt-putt golf. It's been a couple years; I know the other one closed down, but we're very excited."
Right next to the Tumon Driving Range, Stoney's Mini-Golf has a nine-hole course waiting to challenge players of all levels. Mortera said her team, including her father, have been working on the project for about a half-year. "We've had the idea for maybe like a year, but we've been working on this course," she said. "We took about six months to put it together."
So in the words of staff, which hole poses the biggest challenge? Playfully, she suggested, "Hole #8 because it has that slight turn and it's going down, so the ball might jump off to the side if you're not careful."
Centrally-located and swift to play, the working crowd and students can get in a round at any time, for any schedule. And like any putt-putt course, the replay value is off the charts, with most games only taking about a half-hour to make it through the course.
So bring your game, measure the slopes and make it a social media event. Mortera said, "It's a lot of fun, especially when you're with your friends and your family."
