A spear fisherman has died after being pulled from the waters off Adelup Saturday night.

According to Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Nick Garrido, rescue units responded to a report of a missing fisherman at the right side of Adelup at 9:11 pm.

GFD rescue swimmers searched along the reef line and located the 32-year-old fisherman.

He was unconscious and unresponsive.

CPR was conducted as he was rushed to the Hagatña Marina via GFD vessel.

Garrido says due to the condition of the victim, GFD paramedics terminated resuscitation measures via medical control.

The Guam Police Department will be conducting their investigation.
