A New York judge said he will sentence President-elect Trump in his hush money case this Friday.

In a written decision, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan rejected Trump's request to dismiss the case and set the sentencing for Jan. 10. Less than two weeks before Trump is set to be sworn in as President.

Merchan also wrote he is "not" inclined to sentence Trump to prison.

The judge said Trump has the option of appearing in person or virtually for the sentencing next Friday.

Trump was convicted last year of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection with an alleged scheme to hide a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 Presidential election.

Trump said he did nothing wrong.
