Elected delegates for Guam, CNMI sworn into office
The Marianas is now official as well in Washington D.C.
The delegates for Guam and the CNMI took the oath of office on Friday, officially starting their terms in the 119th United States Congress.
Guam delegate James Moylan and CNMI delegate Kimberly King-Hinds were sworn in to office.
This is Moylan's second term and a first term for King-Hinds.
This after the CNMI’s first elected representative, Gregorio Kilili Sablan retired following 16 years in office.
Meantime, Delegate Moylan said, “Our team is optimistic that additional opportunities will be available for Guam, and our quest for ending long-standing issues such as SSI and RECA can hopefully have their chapters closed.”
Moylan has been assigned to the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees.
