On Monday, a series of swearing-in ceremonies were held for the island’s elected leaders, including members of the Guam Education Board.

Five of the six GEB members returned to their positions: Dr. Mary Okada, Angel Sablan, Maria Gutierrez, Dr. Ron McNinch, and Peter Alecxis Ada.

The board also welcomed newcomer Dr. Judith Guthertz, a veteran educator and former senator.

The ceremony at the Guam Department of Education’s central office in Tiyan also included the swearing-in of student representatives from the Islandwide Board of Governing Students.
