CNMI Office of Veteran Affairs begins distributions of standing electric fans
In an effort to help veterans stay cool and save energy, the CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs has a special program just for them.
From Jan. 13 to Jan. 17, the CNMI Office of Veterans Affairs, in partnership with the Department of Public Works Energy Division, will be distributing free electric standing fans to eligible veterans on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
This initiative, funded by the Energy Education, Efficiency, and Conservation program, aims to help veterans lower their energy costs by using fans instead of air conditioning on cooler days.
Veterans on Saipan can pick up a fan voucher at the Office of Veterans Affairs on Anatahan Drive, Capitol Hill.
To qualify, veterans need to provide a military service verification or a copy of their DD214. The voucher can then be redeemed for a fan at the DPW Energy Division Office.
For veterans residing on the islands of Rota and Tinian are asked to please contact or visit the following designated respective representatives and offices listed below to obtain a fan voucher:
