Public auditor released 2025 Annual Work Plan ahead of inauguration
On Monday, Benjamin J.F. Cruz was sworn-in to a new four-year term as our island’s elected public auditor.
Chief Justice Robert Torres administered the Oath of Office at the Guam Judicial Center.
Prior to the inauguration, Public Auditor Cruz publicly released the Office of Public Accountability’s 2025 Annual Work Plan.
In developing its annual work plan, the OPA did various activities, including conducting risk assessments, seeking feedback from government leaders and the public, reviewing legislative mandates, and identifying hotline tips and citizens’ concerns.
Through extensive deliberations and taking all factors into account, the OPA prioritized performance audits relative to revenue collection, government expenditures, and cost-savings programs.
