The Guam Council on the Arts & Humanities Agency presents the 4th Annual Guam Poetry Out Loud competition, celebrating 20 incredible years of this national program.

Poetry Out Loud is a national education initiative by the National Endowment for the Arts that helps students from grades 9 through 12 discover and perform powerful poetry through memorization and performance.

Winners will represent Guam and compete against students from 54 states and territories at the National Poetry Out Loud Finals in Washington, D.C., from May 5 to May 7, 2025.

The school registration deadline has been extended to Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.

School principals or teachers interested in enrolling their students are encouraged to contact Jackie Balbas, Guam’s Poetry Out Loud Coordinator, at 671-300-7584 or 671-456-5387, or via email at [email protected].
