A tourist on Saipan dies after a 'drowning incident' at a popular spot on the island.

CNMI Department of Public Safety says the victim was visiting from Hong Kong.

Authorities responded to the area in Marpi around 3:23pm Monday.

Officers saw tour guides performing CPR on the unidentified man who was then rushed to the Commonwealth Health Care Corporation.

Unfortunately, he did not survive.

Investigators say the man was at the swimming hole with family members when he jumped into the water for about five minutes.

The victim told tour guides that he was not feeling well before losing consciousness.

Police say he died of natural causes.
