Crisis averted at Public Health, senior citizens programs to continue
Crisis averted at the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services.
Public Health’s Vendor Health Services of the Pacific sent out a notice of suspension of services to its Title III Program clients under the Division of Senior Citizens.
The letter dated Jan. 7 from Administrator Lisa Mesa said the suspension would be effective Jan. 13 and was due to non-payment of services.
This would've included case management programs, in-home services programs, national family caregiver support programs and adult daycare services programs.
But Public Health Director Theresa Arriola told KUAM that payments are now up to date and the vendor relationship remains intact.
Those services will continue uninterrupted.
