A violent attack leads to one man being placed under arrest .

Forty-one-year-old Roland Guzman is charged with two counts of strangulation, aggravated assault, terrorizing, family violence and assault.

Court documents state Guzman grabbed the victim and slammed her against a pole before strangling her until she was unconscious.

He also allegedly dragged her by the hair and hit her with a bat before she made her escape.

Guzman is being held on $10,000 cash bail. 

He was charged separately for selling meth and for having a stolen car that he allegedly told police he won in a game of darts.
