Borrowing a car to buy water was just a cover for one man after he allegedly sold the car for meth that same day.

Thirty-four-year-old Ryan Issei Nakao Dalalo is charged with theft of a motor vehicle as a second-degree-felony with a notice of commission of a felony while on felony release.

Court documents state the victim reported his car was stolen after he lent his car to Dalalo to buy water.

Weeks after the alleged theft, the victim reported to police that Dalalo was at a game room in Dededo.

After an interview, Dalalo allegedly admitted he “swapped” the car for cash and meth.

He also told police he felt “deep remorse,” but his addiction to meth “was stronger than his personal feelings.”

Dalalo was previously arrested in a separate drug and theft case.
