Future leaders go head-to-head in mock trial competition
The Judiciary of Guam is set to showcase the next generation of legal leaders as the high school mock trial competition enters its final stages.
The 2024-2025 Guam High School Mock Trial competition semi-finals will kick off on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the District Court of Guam. Four teams will battle it out for a spot in the finals, slated for Jan. 22 at the Guam Judicial Center.
The finalists will compete for the title of champion, with the winning team representing Guam at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Phoenix, Arizona, this May.
Organized by the Judiciary of Guam in partnership with local legal institutions, the competition aims to instill a deeper understanding of the judicial system while promoting critical thinking and teamwork.
Administrator of the Courts Danielle T. Rosete praised the students’ talent and passion for the law, calling this season a celebration of Guam's bright future in the legal field.
