No immediate threat assessed from second reported North Korea missile launch
Guam officials assure the public there is no threat to the region following North Korea’s second missile launch this week.
The Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense, along with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center, federal, and military partners, are closely monitoring the situation surrounding a ballistic missile launch by North Korea.
Homeland Security Advisor Esther Aguigui confirmed that there is no immediate threat to Guam or the Marianas.
She reassured the community that local and federal agencies will continue to assess and track these events to ensure regional safety.
