The village of Mangilao will undergo a preventive maintenance outage on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Customers affected are along Abing Street, Tun Tomas Pangelinan Street, Mamis Street, Cotpus Street, Apiag Lane, Manha Lane, Baza Lane and surrounding areas.

Customers also affected include: Mangilao Senior Citizen Center, HB Price Elementary School, Santa Teresita Catholic Church, Mangilao Mayor’s Office, Pacific Tyre, Super Mart, Shell Gas Station, Michelle’s Coffee Shop, Mangilao McDonald’s, and GWA Water Well A21.

GPA will be making system improvements and conducting preventative maintenance to avoid future power outages.

In most cases, the job can be done with no impact to customers; however, sometimes the power needs to be shut off in order for the crews to work safely.

If you have a generator, make sure your main breaker is in the open position for the safety of our line crew.

Have a plan for alternate power sources for electrical medical equipment, charge all cell phones, and minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.
