No jail time for former airport cop involved in online gambling scheme
A former airport police officer who admitted to his part in promoting a gambling app while on duty is spared jail time.
Jericho Santos was sentenced to one year probation in the District Court of Guam.
Santos had since pleaded guilty to operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business.
As reported, Santos operated an online poker business, Poker Bros, where he accepted payments from players, including other Government of Guam workers, back in 2020.
Santos was also ordered to perform 25 hours community service.
