Guam to receive more than $1.3M to repair signs and signals

Guam Delegate James Moylan announced a positive development for Guam’s infrastructure.
The Department of Transportation notified the House Appropriations Committee that the Guam Department of Public Works will receive over $1.3 million to repair signs and signals damaged by Typhoon Mawar.
The funding, totaling $1,375,919, will come from the Federal Highway Administration’s FY25 Emergency Relief Program.
“It is always exciting to get notifications on funding for our island, especially when the funds are being used to make major improvements our community will benefit from. This grant would help improve signal lights and signs, allowing additional safety conditions for our roads,” said Moylan.
