Public safety oversight chair seeks additional emergency vehicles
Hoping to get more emergency vehicles on our streets using federal funding, public safety oversight chair Senator Shawn Gumataotao wrote to Governor Lou Leon Guerrero requesting that her administration prioritize Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery Program funds for police, fire, and other emergency vehicles for Guam's first responders.
The freshman senator citing Congressman James Moylan's announcement of $500 million in federal funding now available to guam through the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2025.
Gumataotao stating in part, “I recognize the challenges many if not all our first responders face without an optimum fleet of emergency vehicles."
