Guam Delegate requests change to United Airlines pet travel policy
Guam's Delegate is hoping to get the attention of leadership with United Airlines.
Congressman James Moylan wrote to United CEO John Scott Kirby stated his office received several inquiries regarding the airline's policies for flying pets to and from Guam, and repatriation of native birds.
He hopes the airline will be able to accommodate amendments to their policies, noting passengers can travel with their pets between Washington, D.C., and any other city United flies; however, this policy is only available to active service members for a flight between Honolulu and Guam.
Moylan added, “It is not appropriate that our island residents who don’t wear the uniform are denied that very opportunity.”
