CNMI Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds announced her appointment to two new House committees: the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and the House Committee on Small Business. 

She will serve on the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access, as well as the Subcommittee on Contracting and Infrastructure.

“I am proud of my appointments to the Small Business and Veterans’ Affairs committees,” said King-Hinds. “These appointments will expand the scope of my duties in Congress, going beyond what is typical for a freshman Member.”

Previously, Congresswoman King-Hinds was also appointed to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. 

Today, the committee held its first hearing of the 119 th Congress, discussing issues related to the Highway Trust Fund and streamlining infrastructure projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

The House Committees on Veterans’ Affairs and Transportation and Infrastructure will announce their subcommittee membership at later dates.
