Trial is delayed for the man indicted in the deadly stabbing of his cousin.

Issac Gurtamag appeared before Judge Vernon Perez in Superior Court today.

The trial was set to begin tomorrow, but parties told the court they need more time to prepare witnesses.

As KUAM reported, the victim, identified as Mike Tithin, was found lifeless behind a home along Route 15 in Mangilao in December 2023.

Gurtamag allegedly told police his cousin threatened to shoot him, adding he got a knife to defend himself.

Investigators said the deadly stabbing was fueled by alcohol.
