Guam Delegate James Moylan has been reappointed to the House Subcommittee on Readiness and newly assigned to the Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, both under the House Armed Services Committee.

The Seapower Subcommittee oversees shipbuilding, reconnaissance, bomber and tanker aircraft, and waterborne vessel programs.

Moylan said this new role will open opportunities to strengthen Guam's military presence and promote local industries, including potential investments in shipbuilding and repair, creating high-paying jobs for the island.

The Subcommittee on Readiness focuses primarily on military construction, including family housing and other infrastructure improvements, which has brought over $5 billion in federal investments to Guam since Moylan joined in 2023.
