No jail time for man who threatened law enforcement officials
A man who admitted to threatening local and federal law enforcement officials is spared jail time.
Defendant Nicolas Pinaula was sentenced to three years’ supervised release in the District Court of Guam.
Pinaula has since pleaded guilty to transmission of interstate threats.
Court documents state, in August 2023, Pinaula sent an electronic message through the FBI’s online tip submission website threatening to kill employees of the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security investigation.
Pinaula indicated he knew where their offices were located on Guam.
Documents state he also sent emails threatening to kill employees at the Attorney General’s office.
