Murder defendant denied request to dismiss robbery charges with prejudice
Murder defendant David Uncangco, Jr. is denied his request to have the robbery charges filed in a separate case against him dismissed with prejudice.
The court previously granted the prosecution's request to dismiss without prejudice, meaning they could refile the charges against Uncangco at a later time.
Uncangco argued for the robbery case to be tossed completely, but Superior Court Judge Maria Cenzon denied his request.
As KUAM reported, Uncangco was allegedly involved in thefts reported at a local pawn shop and at a jewelry store.
He also faces charges of aggravated murder in connection to the killing of Joshua Taitague.
