The Department of Administration and the Department of Revenue and Taxation have announced that on Jan. 23, individual payors will no longer be charged credit card fees at the Treasurer of Guam terminals.

Public law 37-135, enacted in November, appropriated over $4.7 million to cover these fees for individual payors in Fiscal Year 2025. However, fees paid from Oct. 1 to Nov. 5 will remain non-refundable.

Refunds for fees incurred between Nov. 6 and Jan. 23 are already being processed and will be credited back to cards.

Online payments will also be updated to reflect these changes, but in the meantime, individual payors can expect fee refunds within five days of payment.

Businesses will continue to be charged credit card fees.
