The 38th Guam Legislature presented a resolution to the Archdiocese of Hagatna Office of Catholic Education in observance of National Catholic Schools Week. 

With the theme “Impacting Our Community, Inspiring Guam,” the resolution celebrates the island's 11 catholic schools which began to be established more than 76 years ago. 

Resolution author Senator Chris Barnett and Påle Jeffrey San Nicolas give their remarks.

“We’re also commending the Guam catholic schools’ administration, faculty, staff and the Office of Catholic Education with the Archdiocese of Hagatna for their continued dedication and service to the catholic students on Guam as they celebrate the occasion,” said Sen. Chris Barnett.  

“I don’t think anybody would doubt the very key role that catholic schools have played on our island. So we thank our parents, teachers and past administrators who have supported our catholic school system to really help our community be the best it can be,” said San Nicolas. 

Of the 11 catholic schools, there consists of more than 2,711 students and 353 faculty and staff.
