Technical issues halt Guam Driver’s License services, branch to close on Tuesday
The Department of Revenue and Taxation announced that technical issues have left the driver’s license examination branch unable to process transactions, resulting in extended wait times for customers seeking Guam driver’s licenses and identifications.
They will not be servicing new or walk-in customers on Tuesday, Jan. 28, and employees will contact affected customers to reschedule their appointments.
DRT encourages the community to utilize the online portal, myid.guam.gov, for renewals and replacements if eligible.
Consumers may renew and replace their driver’s licenses and identifications online if:
- Applicant does not wish to change the status of their Guam driver’s license or identification from general or identification to REAL ID status
- The information found on the driver's license or identification has not changed
- ID or License is within one year of the date of expiration
- Eye or vision test has been completed
For renewals, evidence of passed vision exam must be uploaded into the system.
